The telecom giant Verizon Business acquired BlueJeans Network, a reliable enterprise-grade video conferencing and event platform. The definitive acquisition agreement will expand Verizon's capabilities in an immersive, integrated communication portfolio.
The cloud-based video service, BlueJeans supplies to a wide range of business sectors, from small startups to the world's largest multinational companies, has also participated significantly in continuing these companies' operations during the ongoing work-from-home surge.
The transaction will blend BlueJeans' simplified, innovative, and trusted meeting platform with Verizon's unified communications as a service business. Therefore, customers will take advantage of a BlueJeans enterprise-grade video experience on Verizon's high-performance global networks.
Moreover, the platform will be incorporated into Verizon's 5G product roadmap, providing secure and real-time engagement solutions for high-growth areas, including telemedicine, distance education, and
field service work.
